Good Morning!

Tomorrow will be the first day of Summer and boy o boy, am I ready! I went for a brisk 7 a.m. walk  and made it all the way to Mr. Russell’s birdhouse posted high beside his cow gate (about a mile) and then walked back, invigorated to begin the day.

As an added bonus beyond simply breathing in fresh morning air, I heard my neighbor’s rooster greeting the bright sunshine, and smiled at his delight in the new day. I smelled something fresh and rounding the corner, was delighted to see a field of wild daisies, their white petals and yellow centers so abundant across the field of green meadow. And I noticed the beginning buds of what looks to be an abundant crop of blackberries alongside a half-mile stretch up the road.
